Austria’s Ski-season runs between mid-December to the end April, so this is prime time to book your holiday. With dramatic mountainous backdrops, an outstanding cross-country skiing network, and guaranteed snow - it’s no wonder Seefeld, in Tyrol, was one of the venues for the 1976 Winter Olympics.

The beauty of Austria’s winter sports scene is that skiers and snowboarders alike will find solace in the fresh and unscathed snow, whilst not having to battle through drones of mixed abilities to secure a seat on the modern ski-lift. Due to optimal Piste conditions, this is very good option not only for beginners and intermediate skiers, but also for experienced skiers. There are five flawlessly designed ski areas located near the Interalpen-Hotel Tyrol. For instance, the Bergbahnen Rosshütte is 15-minutes transfer from the Hotel and was voted best winner by Skiresort.de, mainly due to the 20km of pristine runs. Also worth mentioning is Olympiaregion Seefeld, which is a prominent location for cross country skiers as it has around 142km of cleared winter hiking trails. If you want to trade in the skis for a day, make sure to try your hand at other winter activities, such as; Tobogganing, Winter Hiking, Curling, Snowshoeing, Dog Sledding or even Ice Skating and Lake Möser.

Ski rental, Cross-country Ski rental and lessons are all available through the Hotel, in cooperation with the Mösern Ski School.
