About…

The strikingly beautiful Heckfield Place can be found amongst the countryside of Hampshire. The renovated Georgian family home is hidden within 438 acres of private land and its family & staff are immersed in embracing every aspect of every season!

Heckfield’s core message is echoed throughout it ‘Sustainability Commitment’, but is truly embodied by five little words - “It begins with the soil”. Take a stroll within its grounds to reveal Lakes, Greenhouses, Beehives, Orchards, Southdown Sheep, Guernsey Cows, British Saddleback Pigs and Hyline Chickens. The perfect self-sustained paradise!

With a remarkable respect for their 250-year-old history, Heckfield are a pioneering spirit; breaching several gaps, as well as restoring the relationship its grand English House once had to its farmland & local community.

The House has been lovingly restored, but with luxurious & modern twists! Heckfield is stylishly furnished with 45 rooms & 6 Signature Suites, including our favourite, the more family suitable Church Lodge. And don’t forget, if you’re after a touch of pampering, visit The Little Bothy, Heckfield’s Wellness & Spa facility.

Travel Matters Highlights…

Heckfield is all about getting lost! Grab your Wellies & Jacket and start exploring the grounds.

We suggest starting at the Walled Garden, where the team of proud gardeners exhibit a seasonal flower show. This leads directly onto the woodland paths, where many of the organised walks take place (Monday to Sunday, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.). This is a great way to work up an appetite before enjoying a private picnic, which Heckfield are happy to arrange, or dine in one of the sensational on-site restaurants.

A Heckfield experience is about embracing nature & the outdoors, so allow the friendly staff to help arrange Cycling, Fishing, Bird-watching, Yoga, Forest Bathing, Wild Swimming and many more fun activities.

Map & Location…

The immediate area is Heckfield Estate! Don’t forget, there are over 400 acres of private grounds here, so you are practically in your own micro-world. If you & your party want to see a little more of Hampshire and Berkshire, you will be glad to know there’s plenty going on!

For any Golf enthusiasts, Bearwood Lakes is a short 15 minute drive from the Estate. Its 18 holes are set amongst the picturesque Berkshire countryside and the Golf Club has dining facilities if you’ve managed to work up an appetite.

If your friends & family are divided between what to do, you’ll be pleased to know that the renowned Wellington Riding School is just down the road. Guests can either take lessons or enjoy hacks within the Duke of Wellington’s 300 acre grounds…an unbridled masterpiece!
