Palazzo
Belmonte, Amalfi Coast, Italy |
| |
 |
|
Palazzo
Belmonte sits at the heart of the National Cilento Park, south of
the Amalfi coast, adjoining Santa Maria di Castellabate but at the
same time remaining delightfully isolated within five acres of beautiful
gardens. Commission of Principe di Belmonte and Marquis of Castellabate,
Palazzo Belmonte has been owned by the Granito Pignatelli family for
over four hundred years. For centuries the Palace was a favourite
hunting lodge for a succession of Kings of Spain and Italy who came
to hunt wild boar and shoot quail on the impressive grounds surrounding
the estate.
Principe di Belmonte, who currently lives in a private wing of the
palazzo, has converted part of this unique building - without altering
any of the original features - into beautiful, spacious suites/apartments.
The new VILLA BELMONTE, hidden away in a quiet corner of the extensive
gardens have views and balconies averlooking the sea. |

| For
children: |
| For
children, cots and high chairs are pre-bookable, special meal arrangements
are available and babysitting can be arranged. |

| Accommodation: |
| The
rooms are very bright and fresh - white tiles and linen give them
a wonderfully cool feel whilst the carefully selected prints add a
touch of elegance. All rooms are equipped with satellite television,
mini bar, telephone and tea making facilities. The balcony or terrace
has luxurious furniture, where you can relax and watch the setting
sun. Some of the rooms interconnect with twin rooms at the rear of
the building, making them perfect for families. The end rooms on each
block are particularly spacious and can easily accommodate a third
bed in the second bedroom. For a very special break, there is the
option of a junior suite - a sea view room with its own sitting room.
PALAZZO
BELMONTE: The original Palazzo is comprised of 22 suites/apartments,
each with sitting room and some with balconies; all quarters are located
within three wings of the beautiful courtyard. EDOARDO'S
HOUSE: The adjoining former overseer's house, located off the main
courtyard, is very characteristic, while delightfully quaint in
comparison to its historical neighbour.
VILLA
BELMONTE: Discreetly located in a quiet corner of the gardens, this
new addition to the estate offers all the comforts of modern facilities
in an elegant, yet understated atmosphere. Many rooms overlook the
sea and serene gardens, all cleverly connecting with a further room
if required. Suites and single rooms are also available.
